OpTally is a personal case-logging app for surgical residents, made by OpTally LLC.
Please don't put patient information in an email. A case's OpTally code (the OT-… label on the card) is enough for us to help.
Use your recovery code: on the sign-in screen, choose Forgot password?. Your cases are encrypted with a key only you hold, so the recovery code is the only way back in. We cannot reset a password for you or recover data without it. If you have neither, the account can be deleted and started fresh; contact support.
Settings → Account → Change password… or Change email…. Both ask for your current password. Changing your email gives you a new recovery code; the old one stops working.
No patient identifiers other than the date of the operation. Each case gets a random OpTally code; that code is what goes to the ACGME Case ID field. Everything about a case is encrypted on your device before it is uploaded. Details in Privacy & security.
No. Your ACGME submission is the official record. OpTally helps you capture cases quickly and fills them into the ACGME form for you (the Chrome extension on a computer, or the Safari extension built into the iPhone app); you review and submit there.
Settings → Danger zone → Delete account. That removes your login and all synced data from our servers immediately. Download a backup first if you might want the data.
Encrypted on your device, and as unreadable ciphertext on servers in the United States. See the privacy page for the vendors involved and the agreements we hold with them.
